The verdict
Beatrix is a cute, homely cafe in North Melbourne that is a locals' favourite for great coffee (by Allpress), a small menu of yummy sangas and rolls. Oh, and some of the best baked goods in Melbourne. Pastry Chef Nat Paull takes her sweet treats seriously, and her potato brioche doughnuts with lemon and sour cream icing (weekends only) are the stuff of legend. A sweet spot for brunch or curing a case of threethirtyitis.
