The Details
We know, we know—we’re suckers for pastry, but after a visit to Beechworth Bakeries, can you blame us? With eight locations across Victoria, the shop fronts have well and truly earned their reputation as one of the best bakeries in Australia. Founded way back in 1974, the chain has grown rapidly over the years, earning a loyal following of dedicated customers in the process. And it’s easy to see why—one bite of these pies, and you’ll be addicted for life.
So, other than pastry, what do you have to look forward to on the menu? The answer—a heck of a lot. Begin your day with breakfast in the form of toasties, croissants, rolls, wraps, scones, scrolls, and freshly baked bread. Still not enough choice for you? Let’s move on to lunch: we’ll be having the chicken focaccia, plus an avo and halloumi sandwich, just in case we get hungry later. For something a bit more filling, try an Indian veggie curry pie, or a delicious spinach and feta roll with an apple square or two to satisfy that sweet tooth.
But it doesn’t stop there—Beechworth Bakeries even has plant-based options, to cater to our meat- and dairy-free friends. We’re talking veggie chilli con carne pies, falafel wraps, sourdough sandwiches, and so much more.
Check out their full menu on their website, or better yet, get yourself down to your local storefront and start sampling their menu the old fashioned way. You won’t regret it.
