The set-up at Bird’s Basement is uniquely laid-back. Think mouth-watering classic cocktails, an enviable drinks list of local and international wines, and an Italian-influenced food offering that will seriously rock your taste buds. We’re talking pulled beef brisket with quail egg yolk, slow cooked lamb shank, and a delish King George whiting and beetroot salad—yum! You can opt to dine before the show kicks off (doors open an hour and a half beforehand) or feast while watching the show. The waiters are even trained in ‘silent service’! Yep, all you’ll hear is the sweet, smooth sound of jazz.

Bird Basement’s artists perform right next to the diners, treating them to an up-close-and-personal show—something you’d be hard pressed to find elsewhere on the Melbourne music scene.
