There aren't many places where you can get a bite to eat, your shoes fixed, your hair cut, some rad Japanese denim and pick up some new shaving cream all in the same place. Captains of Industry is a modern day dandy's paradise, all contained within the tiny space of an upstairs loft nestled between Bourke Street and Somerset Place in the CBD. It's all stripped back chic in here, concrete floors, antique chairs and a myriad of typewriters adorning the quaint café in the middle.
The menu is minimalistic, so make sure you look at the specials on the green chalkboard. Once nourished, venture into the tiny adjoining rooms that offer their own separate delights. And even if they weren't multi-talented enough, they sometimes host a jazz party on the weekends - keep updated on their facebook page. Nonetheless, after your time here you'll emerge a cleaner, trendier and caffeinated man.
