Coal Blooded Griller
There’s no better time than now to reacquaint yourself with the colourful beach huts of Brighton, and the newest bad kid on the block Coal Blooded Griller will be on-site to treat you to the most delectable smoky grills and cocktails by the beach.
With expert meat grillers serving up smokey deliciousness and special limited edition beers running on tap, this Texas-style BBQ restaurant is set to be Bayside Melbourne’s newest carnivore nirvana.
The juicy menu, put together by Changz Hot Sauce founder Josh Monteiro, includes tender smoky pork ribs and sausages fresh from a custom-built smoker, delicious grilled corn, melt-in-your-mouth pork burgers and potato tots made with truffle cheese sauce and bacon.
“We’re aiming to give Brighton a unique offering that isn’t quite what you would expect in this part of Melbourne," says Monteiro. "Our massive smoker was custom built to pump out quality smoked meats and will be running 24/7 with pitmasters on site all through the night watching the fire.”
It’s easy to get carried away snacking on ample amounts of pork ribs and slaw, but don't forget to try the Fried Chicken Burger – a recipe tried and tested over the years and has been nailed down in all of its crispy glory.
And while you’re there, why not turn the day to night with a Peach Gin Fizz, or if you’re feeling brave, a smoked jalapeno popper loaded Bloody Mary for that extra kick?
