The Verdict

One of our favourite brewers from WA has now landed in industrial Port Melbourne. Taking over the former Bertie Beetle Factory on Bertie Street, Colonial Brewing Co has put a fresh coat of paint on the brewery and are brewing up some of the best locally brewed beer you’ll find in Melbourne.

The space inside is open and light, perfect for those after work beers on a Thursday and Friday night. And there’s plenty of food to go with your refreshing ale, as well as Food Truck’s setting up shop in the car park every Friday from 12pm until late.

The beers go down an absolute treat, and there's a wider range on tap than what you'll usually find from them at the bottle shop. The 360 degree lids on the draught and Small Ale are definitely a conversation starter.
