The verdict
Located in Balaclava, Common Ground L.E.S is a cool cafe with a New York-style Jewish deli feel. Owned and operated by father-daughter duo, Sasha Krivisky and Jacqui Alexander, the cafe follows their first store, also called Common Ground, a small batch roaster/shop/cafe in Ormond. Their second venture certainly doesn't disappoint, with a smooth house blend served up alongside pirozhki (Russian doughy dumplings), blintzes (Jewish crepes) and, of course, bagel and schmear (no translation needed).
