The Verdict
It’s time to put your money where your mouth is and bag yourself some of the best cookies found in Australia. After causing a little hysteria when opening along Chapel Street earlier this year, Cookie Box is coming in hot with a second store in Hawthorn.
The cookies that have half of Melbourne talking and eating with their mouths open come in eight different flavours, including one vegan option and a rotating special experimental flavour each month.
Classics like the Nutella should not be overlooked, while the Chocolate and the Pistachio should be taken just as seriously. There’s also a Churro flavoured cookie, which is a permanent fixture to the menu; this one’s made from an addictive combo of vanilla dough, dulce de leche filling, and dusted with cinnamon.
The limited-edition cookies take on a ‘here for a good time’ ethos, and it’s recommended you order up while they’re on hand. Recent highlights include the Matcha & White Chocolate cookie, made with a mix of Japanese tea and Belgian chocolate—a fusion of cuisines one would be surprised works so well.
The cookies start at around $5 a pop, but you can get yourself 10% off when you buy six should you want to stock up for later.
Cookie Box is available for pick-up at their newly opened Hawthorn store as well as Windsor. Delivery is available via Doordash from their Windsor locale.
