The verdict
The Croft Institute is the place to be when you feel like sucking back syringe shots of truly delectable cocktails. This quirky, offbeat bar down Croft Alley (around the corner from China Town) feels like you've checked into an asylum of the best kind. The fitout is disturbingly and geniously clinical, spread across three unique floors, each with an extension of the theme. The Croft hosts a number of regular live music nights, and boasts a top level gymnasium-style dance floor. Once you've had your science lesson in experimenting with various spirits in beakers and test tubes on the ground floor, head up to the gym court to dance it off to some live, soulful DJ beats.
