THE VERDICT
This one here goes out to all the devout foodies in Melbourne and their religious hankerings for high quality brunch–we’ve got your next pilgrimage sorted.
Dear Abbey is a brand new entrant to the Moonee Ponds food scene and is most notable for being literally inside a church, which acts as both a unique selling point and a convenient way of reconnecting with your religious roots (come and have a hot choccie with Jeezuz?).
Aside from taking Sunday mass to a whole new level, Dear Abbey serves up godly breakfast and lunch menus, including the likes of truffle scrambled eggs, Byron Bay blueberry porridge, and a soft shell crab burger, which can all be enjoyed from either the terrace, the corridors or the main glass-cased dining room (holy moly).
