The Verdict

Renowned NSW dumpling chain Din Tai Fung has opened shop in Melbourne, and brought some of the best dumplings around with them. As well as serving bargain dumplings and sweet pork buns, the restaurant is running 'dumpling roulette' throughout winter, starting 1 August, challenging diners to try to avoid the extra-spicy dumpling that they've hidden in a six-dumpling mix. Are you game?

As well as the secret spicy dumpling, the venue are serving winter warmers in the form of soups, sweet and sour pineapple chicken, and Golden Lava mochi balls (which, we hope, aren't filled with actual lava?!).

Get some delicious xiao long bao, Asian-style greens and more at the Emporium’s dedicated top floor restaurant for Melbourne dumpling enthusiasts.
