The chequered history of Dogs Bar only adds to the intrigue of this Melbourne venue which could arguably claim to be the city’s first wine bar. With a new team running the St Kilda staple, Dogs has been given a new lease of life and the menu reflects this injection of energy. If you’re feeling virtuous, order the kingfish ceviche with grapefruit, avocado and cucumber... If you’re anything like us, get ready for the pinot-glazed whole roast duck. Whatever takes your fancy, you’ll find something lovely to sip on from the all-Australian wine list, with some interesting cocktails also on offer. It’s great to see the old Dog performing some new tricks!
