The Verdict

At least once and a while, a good coffee paired with some classically refined cafe fare is the cure that ails you, and if you’re in Albert Park or surrounds, that’s what you’ll get from Dundas & Faussett.

The sunny, corner cafe offers up a menu that’ll bring a dash of sunshine to your morning with the likes of a zesty grilled broccolini breakfast or a more indulgent ricotta hotcake number. Some are dishes you may have seen before, though you’ve unlikely tried them with such a level of finesse.

Come lunch, a grilled barramundi fillet should be worth your time, while any discerning flexitarian or vegetarian should tuck on into the caramelised cauliflower salad.

The current star of the show, however, is the chicken bao burger. Think classic flavours of a fried chicken bao transferred into a burger, accompanied by waffle fries. Go on then.

For those wanting to tie off their meal with a day-dessert, get on that coconut rough smoothie stat. This one’s almost a meal in itself loaded with cacao, banana, coconut and peanut butter.

Dundas & Faussett is currently open for takeaway and delivery, offering breakfast and lunch seven days a week.
