The verdict
Feast of Merit, on Swan Street in Richmond, is the latest hospitality project by not-for-profit organisation, YGAP. The Feast of Merit ethos is based on a north-eastern Indian ritual where the community's rich throw a feast for the poorest citizens, so you can expect lots of budget-friendly options on the menu! What's more, the money goes back into funding YGAP's youth education projects, so that's a dinner winner in our books. Aside from the feel-good and thrifty vibes, you'll be enticed by the great Middle-Eastern inspired menu, with a focus on local and sustainable produce. Open for breakfast, lunch and drinks seven days, and dinner Tuesday to Sunday.
