As the name would suggest, there’s a fair bit of affection for coffee going on with these folk.
Helmed by the team from Rustica, the cafe bakery hybrid that has provided the pair of artisan sourdough, pastries, and coffee from its Brunswick Street and Chapel Street locations has planted a flag in the CBD. First Love is a completely new experience focusing on specialty coffee with a strictly standing policy for no monkey business.

A sleek modern fit-out by Fiona Drago Architects, the inside combination of slabbed emerald marble, peach terracotta walls, and a spanking new La Marzocca provides a space that blends nicely into the refined stretch of Collins Street that it resides.

First Love is all about its specialty coffee with multi-continent single origins and their house blend Polaroid both available on bar, and to take home in heart felt dusty pink packaging. 
Although the bread isn’t front and centre there is still a stacked range of Rustica made sandwiches like the smoked mushroom sanger with taleggio, truffle mayo and baby spinach, as well as bagels, and salad options to grab on the go.

First Love Coffee is open Monday through Friday from 7am until 4pm to fuel Melbourne CBD workers throughout the working week as they filter back into the city.
