Housed next door to France Soir on Toorak Road, French Fantasies is a South Yarra artisan bakery with a distinct French flair. Since opening, French Fantasies has supplied bread and pastries to Melbourne's top restaurants and now, over twenty years on, they own a string of cafes under the Depot de Pain name. The original post offers a drool-worthy selection of cakes, breads, pastries and sweets, including some of the best chocolate croissants in Melbourne. Stop by in the morning for an omelette or Croque Monsieur, or drop by later for a Nicoise salad (paired with a glass of vin, of course).
