The Verdict
Listers, it’s time to turn up the heat! Get that India is an awesome find on Commercial Road, South Yarra where you’ll find burgers, curries, wraps and salads—all deliciously infused with the flavours of India, making for some of the best Indian food in Melbourne. Think tandoori chicken breast matched with mint yoghurt and salad on a brioche bun…The ultimate in fusion burgers! The Get That India motto is ‘Clean.Lean.Choice’ and that’s exactly what you get—great Indian food that’s packed with flavour and comes in a whole range of different meal combo’s.
Get that India’s stand-outs are its burgers, specifically the tasty protein-hit that goes by the name of the Butter Chicken Burger, and the locals love the Bombay Burner, which just might be the spiciest burger is Australia. The Butter Chicken Burger (complete with fresh, crisp slaw and a slathering of GTI garlic sauce) has fantastic flavour without the oil overload of some Indian food in Melbourne, while the Bombay Burner is all about the heat. Reckon you can handle some double beef patty action set to gloves-and-goggles heat?! Get yourself down there, pronto!
The venue itself has a great dine-in area as well as an outdoor garden that’s a real suntrap on a bright day. With enough seats for a crowd, it’s great for healthy lunches in Melbourne, as well as a cracking choice for late-night refuelling if you’re evening’s rolling onto a nearby bar or club.
Open seven days a week with awesome tunes and a full licence ($5 beers and ciders!), you can hit GTI – Get That India for late-night bites until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays. Too busy for a lunch break, or can’t be bothered leaving the house? That’s cool—they will deliver you lunch and dinner!
