The Verdict
We are beginning to think there is nothing Masterchef judge George Calombaris can't accomplish. Following the culinary successes of The Press Club, Gazi, Hellenic Republic and Jimmy Grants, George's next project is Hellenic Hotel, a Greek style gastro-pub/restaurant in Williamstown. Spanning over two levels, the new Hellenic Hotel has all the characteristics of a great Australian pub we all know and love, whilst maintaining the integrity of the Hellenic culture, history, and food.
It's simple: downstairs you'll find original Aussie pub food with a Hellenic twang—made by Josh Pelham, who was the ex-head chef at Estelle's, and a long time friend of George. Upstairs you can relax with your mates and enjoy a wide range of beers on tap, whilst cheering for your favourite team on the big screen.
