Holy Guacamole
Melbourne’s north just got a whole lot more sabroso with the arrival of Holy Guacamole, a spirited Mexican-Colombian cantina from cousins Laurent Linares and Leidy Avila. More than just a restaurant, this lively hub combines authentic street food, heavenly cocktails and El Mercadito, an in-house specialty grocer stocking everything from imported snacks and sauces to premium tequila and Colombian coffee.
Dine in a garage turned kaleidoscope of Latin encanto, designed by Mexican freelancer Jimena Morales, with the finest ingredients sourced directly from Footscray Market. Dive into their hand-pressed tacos, Colombian arepa nachos and house-made salsas, or swing by El Mercadito for pantry staples and organic açai from their Açai bar.
“We wanted to create a place that feels like home—where people can share incredible food, sip cocktails and take home a piece of Latin America,” says Avila.
