If you’re in dire need of a pooch-friendly, pizza-filled hideout (because, who isn’t), you’re in luck. Newly opened Honeycomb Hideout is accepting visitors at the rear of Footscray’s fresh, no-frills Italian restaurant Fox In The Corn.

Serving just six permanent varieties of impeccably cheesy, chewy-crusted pizza, Honeycomb Hideout is the ideal, no-fuss refuge from Melbourne’s bustling metropolitan. Expect deliciously herby margherita and tender braised beef pizza with stretchy mozzarella and spring onion. Beer options are a clever mixture of Melbourne’s favourite locally brewed frothies and classic European varieties.

True to its namesake, Honeycomb Hideout is all about stylish basics. Duck under the cut-out door to find this playfully cosy space where aged timber benches are fitted between vibrant, graffitied walls and old milk crates act as alternative tables. 

Needless to say, they’ve already got a pizza of our hearts.
