The Latest Scoop (February 2024): Ichi Ni Izakaya is now permanently closed.
Situated on the classic St Kilda Esplanade and overlooking Port Phillip Bay is Ichi Ni Izakaya, a casual yet lively Japanese dining space. Offering all the Japanese fare you would expect including tempura, gyoza, yakitori, sushi and sashimi as well as a range of sake, Japanese beers, fine wines and cocktails, you’ll be spoilt for choice. The plates are ideal for sharing and if you’re a seafood lover, you’re in luck because each and every dish is fresh, expertly prepared, and absolutely delicious!
In the warmer months, Ichi Ni is the perfect place for a Sunday sesh on the patio—that is, if you can decide between the fairy floss and sour worm cocktails. If you don’t feel like braving the elements, opt for dinner and a culinary show by sitting at the open kitchen/sushi bar, where you can watch the chefs in action.
