If you're a fan of Italian food (and let's face it, who isn't?!), then make a beeline to Italian Chef on Chapel Street. The South Yarra restaurant is not only home to some of Melbourne's best Italian food, but also a bar and a delicatessen stocking traditional Italian antipasti and desserts.

Back to the food though…Head Chef Simone Garusi has created a mouthwatering menu full of pizzas, pastas, meats, share plates and more (our faves are the Porchetta pizza and Mantova's famous pumpkin tortelli). One bite and it becomes clear just how passionate he is about cooking! Speaking of pizza, Italian Chef also do a great mid-week deal - 'Hump Day Happiness' - where for $20 you can order any pizza plus a beer or glass of house wine any time after 6:00pm.
