There’s a new bar in town and it’s not your typical drink-slinging joint. King Street Revival (KSR) Art Bar is part artist studio, exhibition space and live music bar. So, in case you can’t decide between an art gallery, live music venue or wine bar for date night, you can pop into KSR Art Bar and do it all.

Housed within the Victorian Heritage York Butter Factory, this new addition to the Rialto Precinct in Melbourne’s CBD showcases some of the world’s most exciting street art and celebrates the process of creative exploration and craft. 

The KSR version of the ‘artist in residence’ concept gives artists the opportunity to transplant their art-making practices in a unique space. Artists in residence at KSR will also create new work that culminates in an exhibition at the end of their residency. 

And in true art bar style, there is plenty of booze and tasty nibbles to be had, all while you mingle with fellow artists or art aficionados. We’re talking beer, fine wine, cheese and charcuterie boards, and toasties. The days of stuffy, turtleneck-laden art congregations are behind us and KSR Art Bar is leading the revolution.
