The Details

Whether you've already completed your weekly shop or not, we can guarantee you’re not going to be able to refrain from waltzing on in to LaManna & Sons. This place is the definition of eye candy (or veggie).

From the near OCD presentation of fruit and veg to the deli section of your dreams and almost an entire wall filled with every pasta imaginable, this place makes grocery shopping a seriously therapeutic and mouth-watering experience.

LaManna & Sons is run by brothers Jordan, 22, and Brandon, 23, who since they were little kids dreamed about opening their own green grocer with their dad. Most days, you’ll be able to see the sons one-on-one with their customers and running the store with old school family charm.

But their hands on approach doesn't end there. These guys head to the wholesale markets every morning at the crack of dawn to pick out the very fruit and veg you purchase, so you know it’s going to be quality. You’ll find the best in season produce grown right here by Aussie farmers, and that’s something we can get around.

LaManna & Sons has that lovely wholesome feel of a Saturday market, with genuine service from people who actually know their stuff and they keep competitive prices with your regular supermarket so no convenience is spared.

Much like a farmer's market, you stumble upon seasonal produce you never even knew existed. Take a 'Nectacot' for instance. We can probably bet you don't know what this juicy sucker is. It's okay, neither did we, until the lovely gents explained that they are a cross between a nectarine and an apricot (mind = blown). Safe to say, we purchased a bag.

If you too are on the lazy side when it comes to cooking at home, it’s no wonder that many are obsessed with what the sons call, “value added fresh produce”. This is their chopped-up fruit and veggie packs, which they prep right onsite. Think ready-to-go stir fry vegetables, zucchini zoodles and chopped up pumpkin. Your dinner just got gourmet.

The front of the store is also packed with beautifully wrapped hampers, complete with all of your faves, like pasta, grissini, premium Italian condiments, chocolates and heaps of other goodies. So next time you’re stressing out on what gift to buy the friend who has everything or the in-laws that tell you not to bring a thing, remember this little gem and thank us later. (For those with dietary requirements, fear not, as they’ve also got a huge range of vegan, gluten free and dairy free products, so everyone can join in on the La Manna deliciousness.)

What’s even more exciting is that they're opening a second section to their store later this year that will be based purely around their ready-to-eat meals. That’s right, deliciously packed and prepped meals made fresh from their own produce, onsite. Game changer.

Oh, and did we mention they also have a peanut butter machine which grinds Australian grown peanuts into deliciously fresh peanut butter? Turns out, you can have it all. Do your grocery shop here and you'll be thanking us aaaaaall week.
