The Verdict
La Petite Crêperie, Melbourne’s masters of crêpes, have opened their third venue, spreading that crêpe goodness far and wide.
The latest venue is nestled away off Gallaghers Place (near Exchange Tower) ideally positioned to feed the hungry hordes of CBD workers.
The menu has been designed to provide simple, top-notch café food to go - think the most delicious selection of baguettes, traditional sweet and savoury crêpes, croissants and grab- and-go healthy breakfast options.
Even the mildest sweet tooth will find it hard to pass up one of La Petite’s traditional crêpes, made fresh and generously smeared your choice of filling – naturally Nutella is our first choice, though the salted caramel spread, topped with almond flakes is deliciously decedent as well.
If savoury is more your caper, there are plenty of options. The breakfast baguette which includes organic eggs, ham and cheese or a grilled cheese option hit the spot perfectly. Our pick on the savoury front? The create-your-own savoury crepes are a certain winner.
As far as takeaway breakfasts go, it doesn’t get too much better than La Petite Crêperie. Whether you’re after the aforementioned crêpes, which are packaged perfectly to be eaten on the run, or whether a granola and yogurt cup is more your caper, it’s all taken care off. Made fresh to order, the whole range is exactly what we’d grab before hitting the office or in between meetings in the CBD. Come lunch time, pop in for a baguette – they’re fluffy fresh bread sticks filled with a the freshest of ingredients – think Barkly Smokehouse meats, salads, pickles and homemade mayonnaise or French seeded mustard. Office-friendly food at it’s finest!
La Petite Crêperie really is the very best authentic French pit-stop in Melbourne’s CBD.
