Ain’t nothing better than a homecooked meal, especially when you don't have to do it yourself and can get somebody else to do the dishes.
The guys at Laikon Deli pretty much wrote the book on homemade meals, cooked with love. They’ve been a family-run business since before you were born (1976…so pretty much Jurassic Park), dishing up traditional European deli goods and hot meals that are too damn good to resist.
With handpicked products from local European producers, this gorg little deli prides itself on delivering the highest quality ingredients.
Laikon has recently undergone a serious reno as well, expanding the little Bridge Road deli into a knock-your-socks-off café and catering business. BOOYA.
That means you can drop-in to the deli and get your peckish mitts on a scrumptious sandwich and some takeaway goodies (including carved leg ham, best-selling cheeses, pickles and pantry staples) or you can take a seat in the café and try out the new menu.
Think mouth-watering antipasto boards with your choice of salami, Formaggio, homemade baked beans with Greek fetta, egg and bacon panini, home-cooked lasagne and fresh-baked gnocchi. There’s even a bunch of ready-to-go meals you can take home and pop in the fridge for dins.
If cooking isn’t your forte (and you’re having a dinner party or a last-minute office shindig), these guys have got your back. You can hop online to their website and order from the catering menu or swing by the café for some help from the super friendly staff. All they ask is that you give 48 hours’ notice.
