The Verdict

Just a stone’s throw away from Newport train station, Leroy’s café is serving up some of the most Insta worthy food in the west!

Their all day breakfast menu features both sweet and savoury options and caters to gluten free, vegetarian and vegan diners. The Newport Hollan Daze is one of the brekkie standouts, with hash browns, smashed avo, smoked trout or bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise, rocket and parmesan. Or if you’re looking for something sweet try the OMG Pancakes; with whipped ricotta coffee cream, salted coffee cacao, hazelnut crumb, popping candy, burnt fig ice cream and chocolate fairy floss, they’re sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Leroys have also got you covered if you’re looking to get a health kick with your brekkie. Their Super Salad is fully loaded with a trio of organic quinoa, super seeds, Golgi berries, cannellini beans, kale, sugar snap peas, smashed peas, halloumi and mustard shallot vinaigrette. The fresh juices and smoothies are also great if you’re looking for that extra little boost!

If you’re not feeling like breakfast chow then take a gander at their lunch menu. The McLeroy holds its own against some of the better burgers in Melbourne (which is pretty impressive for a café) and the Soft Shell Crab Burger is an interesting change up from your classic beef and chicken patties.

Before you leave make sure you check out their selection of desserts (the crème brûleé doughnut is our pick) and grab some house made jams for the road!
