The Verdict

A new eatery has opened up in Blackburn North, and it’s as homey as it is delicious! Serving up a seasonal menu of all day breakfast and lunch, this place is sure to impress both locals and travellers alike.

The Little Woodpecker opened up shop in 2016, and is basing its philosophy on real, nutritious food. Not only are they dishing up local produce, but also a custom roast coffee blend to match. By having a seasonal menu, they guarantee you enjoy the freshest goods on offer.

The dishes are absolutely delish, and also have adorable names to add to their appeal. The porridge with a house poached pear is nicknamed Goldilocks and The Three Bears, while Avo and His Lebanese Mates boasts some smashed avo, dukkah, beetroot hummus and organic sourdough (yum...).

Don’t worry, they’ve got you covered for bevvies too. Whether it’s the infamous turmeric latte you’re after, or a green smoothie, Little Woodpecker will provide.

And if you want a little something to treat yourself, their good mates Doughboys Doughnuts deliver some scrumptious goods on the weekend. They even have some gluten free and vegan treats available, so you can have a guilt free feast!
