THE VERDICT

Slinging ice cream that's a treat for the taste buds and wallet friendly, Luther's Scoops on its way to becoming a Melbourne institution.

Founded by Kiwi chef Christian Williams, who drew on his European experience to craft small-batch ice cream with local ingredients.

After opening their first store in Brunswick, they’ve expanded to Thornbury (796 High Street) and a kitchen (and hopefully a store in the future) in Reservoir, offering both dairy and vegan options.

True to their slogan “Just good ice cream” Luther’s Scoops’ no-frills vibe and ever-changing flavour line-up has captured the hearts of northsiders. They've also added to their repertoire serving with triple choc cookies at Thornbury and pies in Brunswick.

Hot tip: Watch out for their collab flavours.
