THE VERDICT
Who’s the fairest of them all? That title would have to go to Mirror Mirror Rooftop Lounge, a Snow White-inspired rooftop bar serving up fairytale cocktails and tasty nibbles.
Whimsically tucked away in a South Melbourne laneway with an elevator to take you into the clouds (or … you know, three storeys up) this venue sits atop The Clarendon Restaurant and features a bewitching view of the Melbourne city skyline.
Slinging a mix of classic and signature bevvies, Mirror Mirror lives up to its name with these winsome cocktails. Sip on a pastel-hued Sweet Dreams concoction or taste a frothy, flower-topped Poison Apple, their stacked drink menu literally allows you to … pick your poison.
Mirror Mirror is giving a retro vibe with a Japanese twist, this lounge bar has a plethora of share plates to go around. Tear into some sweet and tangy tofu karaage or treat yourself to an unexpected modern take on the prawn cocktail, ditching the martini glass, instead packaging the prawns in delicate little lettuce cups. Craving more? Order from a range of larger plates like customisable pizzas or sliders with your choice of wagyu beef, spicy chicken or pulled jackfruit fillings.
If you’re on the hunt for somewhere to liven up your Insta Stories, take the gals or date night with your Prince Charming, heigh ho, it’s off to Mirror Mirror you go.
After more of the same? This crew also brought us Goldilocks (c'mon, you know this one) and House Of Correction to name a few.
