THE VERDICT

Inside the cosy Flinders Street basement, you’ll find this mysterious yet timeless basement bar oozing with old world charm. It’s the bar’s namesake that tells you everything you need to know. It was named after Ada May Gunn, a trailblazing woman who ran The Lounger’s Club beneath Flinders Street Station in the early 1900s. The bar was designed with her warmth and sophistication in mind and it shows.

Just glimpsing the menu of completely unique signature cocktails is enough to make you thirsty, with drinks like the ‘Loaded Gunn’ which consists of chilli oil infused mezcal, Aperol, passionfruit ferment and lime juice. Between the original bluestone foundations and the deliciously elevated pub snacks, Miss Gunn’s offers an alluring experience.
