Mopho Canteen is a welcome addition to the bustling Carlisle Street food scene – ex Mr Wolf and Melbourne Wine Room chef, Adam Davis, setting up shop with a Vietnamese hawker style canteen, serving up some of Melbourne’s best pho and authentic street-food bites. The décor is casual, yet funky, and is perfect for almost any occasion – with communal stool-lined tables and an open kitchen. Adam has curated a unique and exceptional menu, with sharing dishes such as DYI pork spring rolls, soft shell crab, glazed chargrilled chicken hearts and seared tuna with green papaya and herbs. But the stand out dish is of course, the pho! Coming in three varieties – beef, chicken, or veg, mushroom and tofu – this is truly a topnotch dish that rivals any of Melbourne’s best pho.
