The Verdict
It’s easy to spot Mr Wednesday: positioned in a quiet street along the Hurstbridge line, Mr Wednesday’s rustic, relaxed shopfront stays busy through the morning rush.
This quaint, north side café serves fresh brunch dishes that nudge the envelope without excluding any of Melbourne’s signature breakfasts. The avo-lanche (not a hyperbole) comes with whipped beetroot and goats curd on sourdough, topped with smashed avocado, crispy fava beans, heirloom beetroot, raw spinach and lemon.
The lunch crowd are sated too, with burgers, burritos and salads available. With friendly staff and a family-friendly atmosphere, we’d say Fairfield has gained a trusted friend with Mr Wednesday on-board.
