Carlton restaurant Nora first made its mark on the Melbourne food scene with a cacophony of Thai-inspired breakfast flavours that were a long cry from the average avo on toast. Now, the same team behind the petite open kitchen are tackling fine dining, again with bunches of Thai herbs and traditional techniques, but in a contemporary setting that's devoid of white tablecloths and staunch manners. Expect delightfully deceptive dishes masquerading as entirely different creations, each delivered with a smile.
