The Verdict
Right off the bat, we’ve gotta mention Park Hyatt Melbourne’s latest employee, Mr Walker the hotel's canine concierge. A profesh guide dog, Mr Walker busies himself with friendly welcomes at the lobby and accepting belly rubs in his custom-made Tasmanian Oak bed.
That cuteness overload aside, the Park Hyatt is pretty much the best luxury you're gonna find in the CBD. A mixture of good ol’ Victorian and modern architecture, it's regarded as one of Melbourne’s best for hotels and functions. They also boast the city's largest guestrooms, with Italian marble bathrooms for when you’re feeling extra fancy.
Just off Parliament Place, it’s only a short walk, skip, and jump away from Fitzroy Gardens and Collins Street—perfect for all your luxe brand shopping. But if you don’t plan on leaving hotel grounds (and why would you?) Park Hyatt has all the usual amenities: dine at their award-winning restaurant and bar, Radii, for modern Australian dishes, or treat yourself with a spa and sauna day. To finish off, head up to the private sun deck for a sip and tan. Pure bliss.
