The Verdict
The Bandroom Balcony at Prince of Wales has a new resident of the Southern Asian persuasion. Say hello to POW Kitchen, where executive Chef Daniel Hawkins and Head Chef Woosun Choi are bringing you flavour-packed bites and top shelf cocktails in abundance.
Korean style ‘chop chop’ beef, super ‘crisp crisp’ school prawns and delectable ‘sticky sticky’ short ribs are a few examples of the dishes designed to divvy up with your ‘mates mates’ for a perfect pre-gig meal.
The drinks menu also lends itself to some sharin’ and carin’ with cocktail pitchers in the form of sours, slushies and slings on offer—as well some original and delicious Asian-themed creations, and 28 wines by the bottle. On a side note, if you're packing the flu, grab the Tom Yum Rum (or five)—delivering chili, ginger, lemongrass and rum straight to the crux of what ails you—and we guarantee you'll be better in no time.
Check out the great lineup at the bandroom and make a night of it. You won't be disappointed.
