The Verdict

If you’re looking for a cute pick-me-up in the CBD, Rainbow Toastie is sure to put a smile on your face.

Rainbow Toastie uses a super secret mix of several different kinds of cheese, which gives their toasties that luxurious stretch. It takes between 3 and 4 hours to make a single cheese block that yields 20 sandwiches. The tiny bread slices are also custom-made for Rainbow Toastie by a local Melbourne bakery.

Unlike classic Australian cheeses, the Rainbow toastie has a sweet bite to it, which is similar to most cheeses found in South Korea. It makes the rainbow toastie the perfect afternoon snack (and possibly the most photogenic snack in the CBD).

Rainbow Toastie also has an array of fun drinks for you to photograph (and drink, of course), like their Sky Drink, which combines Curaçao and little dollops of whipped cream to simulate a bright blue sky with fluffy clouds. Pretty darn cute.
