Just imagine kicking back with a slice (or three) of a Velvet Choc Raspberry Cake and NOT feeling sickly sweet, heavy, or totally guilty afterwards. May sound impossible, but the team at RawLove Superfoods are determined to burst our bloaty hangovers.  

Led by holistic health expert and certified raw chef, Sandra Bottrel, RawLove Superfoods is a new foodery in Brighton. But instead of sticking to traditionally ‘healthy’ food, Sandra’s taking on our favourite desserts, so the struggle of must-be-healthy-but-chocolate is kapoot.

Located on Hawthorn Rd, RawLove Superfoods is divided into two sections. There’s the Special Occasions Cakes and their Whole Sale Range. We’d go with the latter for all the little nibbles like Chocolate Crackles and Superfood Protein Balls (before that gym sesh). And then there are the big guns—slices of their most popular buy, the Choc Mint Slice or their heavenly Salted Caramel Slice drizzled with chocolate on top. And *drumroll* they’re vegan.

That’s right all of these goodies are handmade in their Brighton kitchen with love and proudly free of dairy, refined sugar, and gluten. They’re all completely vegan, raw, and organic. And if that’s not enough, these superfood desserts are packed with food-grade essential oils (it’s completely safe) and plenty of nutrients, to treat yourself in more ways than one.

Also, we feel the need to mention the cakes look amazing—like Insta-worthy amazing—and if you don’t believe us then you can check out Sandra’s store Monday to Saturdays. Doors open early at 8:30 on weekdays, which means a cheeky slice of Lemon Lime Cheesecake before work. C'mon, it’s heallltthhyyyy.
