The Verdict

Republic Tavern, or the “Revolution of the North,” is a spacious bar, restaurant and brewery in Epping, capturing both a modern taste of beer, as well as a classic Aussie pub atmosphere. A sizeable venue, exposing an impressive array of craft beer and cider taps, from fellow brewpubs to their very own Beer Republic small-batch brews, there’s a welcoming and warm vibe, with an open fire and wall of chopped logs to top it off. Republic Tavern attracts a community of mateship and good times to be had. 

A young business, Republic Tavern has definitely found its feet with a well-established beer-loving costumer, and innovative craft beer at that. The interior is packed with a variety of areas for after-work drinks, vibrant events and relaxed gatherings, sharing the love of good company and respect for food and drinks with a selective menu.

Quality doesn’t stop at beer and cider. Between a game of pool you’ll find exciting quick snacks on the menu, as well as all of your favourite pub classics. Republic Tavern prides itself on producing exceptional food using organic produce and maintaining a genuine and satisfactory cuisine.

Wondering if there's a downfall to this place? Sadly there is. It’s the tough choices to be made. How do you choose between buttermilk fried chicken bites or crispy squid togarashi to a mozzarella-stuffed mushroom burger or parmesan crumbed chicken parma? 

If anything, the choice of beverage should be the hardest, with over 10 taps offering the best local Victorian brews, or from the taverns own brewery. If you’re lucky, you’ll be hit with a ‘spotlight’ brew. How does a passion fruit-laden wheat beer sound? Or a white peach sour brew!
