The Verdict
Roam is the latest venture by the Sciarpa family (ex Pure Italian in North Balwyn). Lead by the head of the family, Carlo Sciarpa and his daughter, Zegna, the Richmond cafe is serving up your daily dose of simple, authentic Italian food.
Expect to see some of the family’s signature dishes we’ve all come to know and love, including shallow fried calamari and spaghetti cacio e pepe. There’s also a few newbies on the menu, like the amazing breakfast board that’s got everything you could possibly dream of for a good Melbournian breakfast using the very best of Italian ingredients!
As far as drinks go, you’ll find the typical Peroni Rossa and the not so typical Sample Golden Ale. Also keep an eye out for Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio on tap… as if things could get any better!
