The Verdict

Filling the space of the since-closed Ladro, Rossi is the all-new diner taking over the Greville Street space. A stylish yet industrial diner, Rossi is the Italian osteria from Ita Nick Young of Good Company Bar Group (Riviera Beach Club, Electric, The Emerson).

“We want to create a hot new vibe, a happening place where people come for delicious food, a great time, and kick on for a drink,” says Nick.

The eatery established a new atmosphere, with its stylish interior and sophisticated décor exuding intimacy at its very finest. Think moody lighting, glossy leather seats, luxe marble tables, and a lush green courtyard out the back

The food menu has been carefully crafted by Vue de Monde alumni, Chef Thibault Boggio, and features traditional Italian dishes with a slight French influence.

Start your evening with perfectly dense house-made rosemary focaccia alongside traditional antipasti dishes, including Burrata loaded with fermented cherry tomatoes and crispy polenta chips topped with freshly grated pecorino.

Try signature plates such as the white duck Strozzapreti Ragu served with crunchy Speck or the Spanner Crab Spaghettini in a rich tomato sauce with spicy chilli, salty bottarga and (more) pecorino.

Also on the cards are ten gourmet pizza combos handcrafted by Rossi’s wood-fired oven pizza chef, Gaetano Cioffi. From a classic Margherita to the iconic Pancetta & Onions to a spicy Diavola or stretchy Quattro Formaggi, there’s one for everyone to enjoy.

Pair it with a good-old Tommy’s Marg, or go off the beaten track with house-crafted options such as a Chocolate Negroni made with Four Pillars Rare Dry, Cocchi Di Torino and Mozart dark chocolate, or try the sweet Limoncello Reviver with Malfi Gin, Limoncello and Cocchi Americano.

Rossi is now open seven days a week, with late-night food service, live music, and DJs from Thursday through Sunday. Book your table here.
