The Verdict
You might already be familiar with Saxe, a first-class dining experience where uniqueness and elegance blend to create the alluring atmosphere. Owned by experienced chef Joe Grbac, Saxe has officially introduced and opened their ground-level, casual dining space, and it’s hard to contain our excitement.
The two-storey complex now offers a new dining experience to their customers for the times where you want to go somewhere relaxed but not sacrifice the quality of food. Introducing Saxe Kitchen - a refined, casual but intimate space that is the perfect place to grab some drinks and food with friends. Think timber tables, an open kitchen, dim lighting, delicious food and even better drinks. They’re also serving up an all-day and night menu, so you’ll be satisfied no matter what craving you have.
Grbac’s experience in preparing and finding the best cuisines, meals and menus means that you can wholeheartedly trust this menu prepared for you. If you’re feeling hungry and in the mood for your own meal, try their Dry Aged Duck Breast and Confit Leg, or their Humpty Doo Barramundi. If you’re going for a more relaxed, homely feel, try their share plates with some friends. We recommend their oysters, mandarin trifle or gnocchi, or their pancetta, potato flatbread, nigella and green tomato. The comfort food here is unreal, trust us.
Saxe Kitchen has a range of drinks on offer too. Both their alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages have been curated with precision and quality to match their food and give their customers the greatest and best-tasting drinks possible. Select a cocktail, sparkling, wine, rosé or red from their extensive list, and know it’ll help make your night that much more relaxed.
A dining experience that places great emphasis on simplicity and quality, Saxe Kitchen offers a unique and homely experience, as well as slight entertainment with their open kitchen. The perfect venue to catch up with friends, share a few plates and have a few drinks, Saxe Kitchen is stepping up the game and we’re loving it.
