The verdict
What used to be delicious Essendon restaurant the Bricklayers Arms has transformed into our new favourite brunch spot in the 'burbs. Ten One Ate is a fantastic open-plan cafe that specialises in organic produce, tasty dishes to go or eat in, and a relaxed vibe that's ideal for kicking back with a vino or iced coffee.
Complete with a green wall of plants and herbs, the venue is shaking up Essendon with it's organic approach. Fresh baked goods, the best local brands and simple but mouth-watering food make for an eatery that should be on every self-respecting Lister's to-eat list.
