The Verdict

The Cut Steakhouse is housed in the beautifully historic building, The Alfred, in Melbourne’s CBD (previously the temporary home to Stokehouse Bar + Kitchen). The lush interior features soaring high ceilings, dark timber finishes and plush leather seating.

This award-winning steakhouse pays homage to the traditional American Steakhouse and even features a dry-aging room for meats, to give all of the dishes unique rich flavours. Its menu showcases prime cuts of locally sourced Australian beef and sustainable seafood cooked to perfection.

You can expect to find premium cuts of steak from all over eastern Australia, with a special focus on Tasmania's Cape Grim and Robbin's Island produce. The detail in the menu is extensive, letting the true meat connoisseurs make a call on what they're eating - think origin, breed, cut, weight, and preparation.

This chic steak restaurant also features a cosy separate bar area with a fireplace and world class wines, making the perfect place for everything from a special occasion dinner to a corporate long lunch.
