A whisky-lover’s dream has opened its doors on Brunswick St. Taking inspiration from Japanese whisky bars, arguably the best in the world, The Elysian welcomes anyone new or old to the whisky game. Take a seat along the polished wooden bar and take your pick from the 300 rare and interesting bottles on the wall.
The Elysian focusses on sourcing independent bottlings from all over the world, so whisky pros won't have trouble finding something new. The atmosphere is cosy and warm, with smooth jazz oozing out of the walls like you've wandered into a Murakami novel. You could happily while away a Saturday evening here, tasting whiskies you can’t get anywhere else and snacking on the bar menu. Of course, if whisky isn't your poison, the bar has a small but excellent menu of cocktails, wines and beers.
