The French Saloon
Not what you’d expect from a French restaurant, The Saloon is up a stairway with zero signage (above Kirk’s Wine Bar) in a trendy New York style loft.
Just like their location, their food is a relaxed Euro hybrid that is by no means slavishly ‘French.’ Using fresh flavours, chefs Ian Curley and Todd Moses have put a twist on the classics and, if you're a fan of tasty French cuisine, it’s incredible.
Our recommendation? Everything on the menu! But for the meat-eating foodies, the chargrilled rib-eye to share comes with marrowbone and parsley salad, plus a dark, sticky red wine jus. And for dessert, you can’t go past the wattleseed crème brûlée served with chocolate madeleines.
