The Hof Downtown is back, renovated and better than ever. Injecting a much-needed dose of European flair into the Docklands precinct, The Hof is here and ready to serve you up some Bavarian goodness...with a modern Aussie twist.
With the new-look building comes a tonne of fresh additions to the menu. It's a good reminder that Bavarian food doesn't have to be all pig knuckles and lederhosen (not that there's anything wrong with eating pig knuckles while wearing lederhosen). Hof guests can get tapas-style dishes like slow-braised ox cheek on a soft parmesan polenta, perfect for a big group (and damn delicious). You’ll also find Aussie favourites like red snapper, served with a smoked scampi bisque, potato and braised leek
But sometimes you can’t go past the classics. Just like its sister venue, Hofbrauhaus, traditional German stomach-stuffers like crispy pork knuckle (of course), sauerkraut and pretzels are on the menu, making sure there's zero chance you leave hungry.
In case you weren’t feeling German enough already, The Hof comes fully stocked with ten imported Bavarian boutique beers (try saying that ten times fast) on tap and ready for you to get stuck into. Cider lovers are taken care of too, with the Hof's house-made apple cider.
The sound of pork knuckles usually sends veggos into a tailspin, but The Hof has your animal-free needs covered as well. Get stuck into a mushroom ragu or some crispy parsnip chips, or go for the ultimate comfort food—blue cheese pasta. Soz, vegans.
The Hof has a happy hour every single weekday from 4pm-6pm, which keeps it buzzing with the post work boozer crowd They're also super proud to be the one and only venue in Australia that stocks the award-winning Austrian range of spirits and liqueurs, Reisetbauer. If a cocktail is what tickles your pickle, you’ll be glad to know that the options are endless, ranging from cucumber martinis to the classic espresso.
