the verdict
Cafe, bakery and home of the doughnut waffle, The Left-Handed Chef in South Melbourne is a fantastic little cafe for a strong coffee and a good feed that can be as healthy or as indulgent as you like, even if you're a gluten-free foodie.
With a focus on hand-baked and hand-made dishes, everything at The Left-Handed Chef comes with a touch of the personal nature. Chef Ehud Malaka has been perfecting his craft in the South Melbourne venue for several years and isn't afraid ot branch out, meaning punters get to sample breakfast parmas, jammuffins (yes, a jam-filled variety of our favourite one-person cake) and fruit-filled treats as well as more traditional dishes.
If you're on the lookout for a cosy local with more than a dash of soul, be sure to drop into The Left-Handed Chef. Just make sure you leave room for a waffle doughnut and coffee to-go!
