The Verdict

The Tradesman started off as a quick in-n-out takeaway store (yep, mostly for tradies), but it's morphed into a chic, industrial style café serving up some bangin’ breakfast and lunch meals.

Their new summer menu has our spidey senses tingling—it is dangerously good. Think French toast oozing with blueberry coulis, scattered with fresh fruit and topped with strawberry sorbet, vanilla mascarpone with a brownie crumb (sign us up for cardiac arrest). If a savoury brekky is more up your alley, you can’t go past their chorizo and spinach sweet ‘tato croquettes with crème fraiche, fresh avocado, two perfect poachees and a side of sweet ‘tato crisps.

The Tradesman Café is challenging society's belief that lunch should only be eaten after midday. Their lunch menu kicks off at 10:30am and our stomachs couldn’t be keener. Try the slow-cooked lamb shoulder on a bed of fluffy cous cous, warm pumpkin, sultana and lentil salad, drizzled with zingy chilli and honey tahini yoghurt.

Can’t commit to just one meal? Go halfsies with a mate and try both their slow-cooked pork bao with a side of Asian coleslaw and their crumbed and fried flathead fish tacos. Both dishes come with three pieces, so get in quick.
