The Verdict
A little bit southern and a little bit western, White Oaks Saloon on Greville Street in Prahran is a US inspired haunt with killer cocktails and beverages that'll transport you across the globe. We don't mean they just have a cocktail or two: White Oaks' beverage menu is something to behold. We're talking pages and pages of the best whiskey, gin, wine, beer and of course... cocktails. We're just obsessed with the Barrel O'Rum which tingles more tastebuds than we thought we had.
Brothers Nicholas and Thomas Welch are the brains behind this establishment and they just keep on delivering the goods. If you're peckish take a squiz at the bar menu: some highlights include cajun fries with a cajun tabasco mayo, carolina style pork sliders and a simple but delicious grilled corn in southern spice. They even have jambalaya.
Trust us, White Oaks is great for late-night drinks and intimate first dates alike. We're heading there as soon as we finish this senten...
